Intel Rocket Lake-S CPUs arrives in Nepal | Price, and features

American multinational corporation Intel, back in March launched their 11th gen chipset named Rocket Lake S. These new Cypress Cove microarchitecture-based chips are now available in Nepal. And this post is about Intel’s 11th gen Rocket Lake processor price in Nepal. Besides that, we will also recall the ability and features of these new-gen Intel chips.

Intel Rocket Lake-S Introduction

Rocket Lake is the code name for Intel’s 11th generation core microprocessors. Intel’s Rocket Lake consists of Core 15, i7, and i9, ditching the 11th gen Core i3. The processors are based on the new Cypress Cove microarchitecture, which is a variant of Sunny Cove. These 14nm process node chips feature LGA 1200 socket and 400 series chipset compatibility. With up to eight cores the chip also goes with new 500 series chipsets. The Rocket Lake features Intel Xe graphics and PCIe 4.0 support but only a single M.2 drive is supported in PCIe 4.0 mode and the rest are wired through PCIe 3.0.

Intel claims that the new Gen CPUs will be up to 19% faster than their 10th Gen CPUs. The fastest from the bunch of 11th Gen CPUs will be the Core i9-11900k, which is an 8-core chip that can reach up to 5.3Ghz on a single core.

Based on the figures provided by Intel, i9-11900k is 13% faster while playing Total War: Three kingdoms and 14% faster playing the Microsoft Flight simulator compared to their last Gen chip on 1080p high settings.

Also, the chip is 10% and 11% faster than the AMD’s flagship Ryzen 9 5900x while playing the same game on the same settings respectively.

You can expect up to 50% faster graphics on the 11th-gen CPUs, thanks to Intel's new UHD graphics with Xe GPU hardware. There’s built-in support for both USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 at 20Gbps as well as discrete Thunderbolt 4. They'll support up to 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes, DDR4-3200 RAM. The 11th Gen chips add Resizable BAR, for a frame rate boost on compatible Nvidia and AMD graphics cards. Also, Intel has added some new overclocking improvements, which might bring more performance-oriented users to its user base.
