2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Revealed- Specs, Features, Price?

And the wait is finally over for EV fans as Hyundai finally uncovers its much anticipated electric car- the Hyundai Ioniq 6 in the Korean market. The car was revealed at the Busan International Motor Show in South Korea.

After the massive success of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 was a priority project for the South Korean maker. Well, the electric car has finally made it after following tons of rumors.

Built on the company’s own Electric Global Modular platform, the car is expected to compete with American brand Tesla's best-selling sedan, the Model Y. Hyundai has already built the new Ioniq 5 on this platform.

Without any further delay, let’s dig into the features and specs of the vehicle.

Design

The design of the new 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is inherited from the Prophecy concept vehicle. The vehicle looks more like a modern retro Porsche car. Hyundai offers all the thanks for the car’s design to ‘streamlined cars of the 1930s’ as the Korean automaker was highly inspired by them while designing this.

The front look of the car looks very similar to the Tesla Model 3 and the Porsche Taycan while EV fans have reviewed the rear look of the car to be inspired by the Porsche 911.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Battery, Motor, Range

At first, the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 shares the same platform as its sibling- Ioniq 5. This implies that the new Hyundai flagship also boasts a single motor with an RWD system for standard/base variants while the premium model (high trim) gets a dual-motor setup with an all-wheel-drive system.

Coming on to the battery setup in Ioniq 6, the EV boasts a 77.4kWh battery pack. There is also an option for a smaller 53 kWh battery unit.

The AWD model of the car is expected to churn out up to 320 bhp horsepower alongside 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of peak torque. It can attain a speed of 62 mph within 5.1 seconds.

As the car is more advanced than its previous iteration, the charging capabilities in the machine might also warm up the game.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Interior

Here lies the most sophisticated part of the car, which is its interior.

The interior of the Ioniq 6 looks very much luxurious and premium. However, the carmaker has expressed a gentle and minimal approach while designing it. With lounge-like comfort, Hyundai has made the car’s interior feel very spacious. Features such as a dual-color ambient lighting system, choose from a spectrum of 64 colors and 6 dual colors are also available.

Moreover, The dashboard houses a 12-inch full-touch screen infotainment system and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster beside it. You will be getting Hyundai's latest Bluelink technology for connectivity while there is also support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the system.

Hyundai also claims that it has used a range of Eco-friendly materials in the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 to make it more environmentally friendly. Some of these examples include eco-process leather seats, recycled fishing net carpets, bio TPO skin dashboards, and so on.
