Buying your first electric car comes with a list of costs nobody warns you about. Insurance. Road tax. A home charger, which on its own can run into serious money. You budget for the car and then spend another chunk before you have driven it properly.
GWM has built its festive offer around exactly that problem. Rather than leading with one big discount number, VG Impex has bundled the awkward extras into the deal. Free comprehensive insurance, road tax, a spare tyre, accessories and a 7 kW charger, worth up to Rs 300,000 on the Haval Jolion Max EV and up to Rs 200,000 on the Ora 5.
The campaign is called GWM Festive Offer, Go With More, and it runs through Dashain, Tihar and the rest of the season. Here is what you actually get.
What's in the package
The benefit figures are not pure cash discounts, and that is worth understanding before walking into a showroom.
The package bundles free comprehensive insurance, road tax, a spare tyre, a 7 kW charger and accessories. Cash discounts, exchange benefits and financing options are also available, subject to the company's terms and conditions.
The 7 kW charger is the item EV buyers should weigh most carefully. Home charging hardware is a real cost that first-time EV owners routinely leave out of their budget, and it is the difference between charging overnight at home and depending on public infrastructure that is still thin outside the valley.
Insurance and road tax cover the two expenses that land within weeks of taking delivery. Together they remove most of the unplanned spending that follows a new car purchase.

The two models
The Ora 5 is GWM's electric SUV, built around a contemporary design and a technology-led interior. It recently picked up the Best Interior Design award in the Family Car category at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards, which is a reasonable credential for a brand still establishing itself with Nepali buyers.
The Haval Jolion Max EV is the newer arrival, introduced in Nepal at the NAIMA Mobility Expo in August. It pairs an electric powertrain with conventional SUV styling and a connected feature set.
Both being fully electric is the point here. GWM has concentrated its festive push entirely on EVs rather than spreading it across the lineup, which fits where the Nepali market has been heading.
Where to find it
The offer runs through GWM's authorised dealers in Kathmandu, Butwal, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Pokhara, Bhaktapur and Dhangadhi.
Seven locations is decent coverage for a brand at this stage, and it matters for EV buyers specifically. Anyone outside the valley considering an electric car wants to know there is a service point within sensible reach before committing.
Worth a look?
Set against the other festive campaigns running right now, GWM's is structured differently from most. Where TVS, Hero and Yamaha are leading with prize draws, and Hyundai and Honda with large cash figures, this one is weighted toward removing ownership costs.
The practical question is how much of that Rs 300,000 is actual cash off the price versus the value of bundled items. The distinction matters, because a charger and a spare tyre have real worth but do not reduce what you borrow. Anyone budgeting around the headline number should ask for the breakdown on their specific car.
That said, for a first-time EV buyer the bundle is arguably more useful than an equivalent discount. Insurance, road tax and a home charger sorted on day one removes a lot of friction from a purchase that already involves enough unfamiliar decisions.
The GWM Festive Offer is running now at authorised showrooms across Nepal.
