Bajaj Chetak Festive Offer: Zero Interest, Rs 1 Lakh Cashback, Five-Year Warranty

Most festive schemes in Nepal come down to a discount and a lucky draw. Bajaj has gone after the thing that actually decides whether people buy an electric scooter, which is how they pay for it.

Hansraj Hulaschand and Company, which handles Bajaj distribution here, has opened a campaign running from Dashain through to Chhath. It bundles five benefits onto every Chetak sold, and the one people will talk about is financing at zero percent.

Five things in the box

Pick up any Chetak during the campaign and the whole package applies.

There is no interest charged on EMI financing. Cashback runs as high as Rs 1 lakh. The warranty extends to five years. Repayment terms also stretch to five years. And a set of premium accessories comes included at no charge.

Separately, none of these would turn heads. Stacked together, they go after the two reasons people hesitate on an electric scooter: what it costs to get into, and what happens once the novelty wears off.

What the campaign includes

  • No interest on EMI financing

  • Cashback up to Rs 1 lakh

  • Warranty covering five years

  • Repayment terms up to five years

  • Premium accessories included free

  • Running until Chhath at Bajaj and Chetak showrooms nationwide

Why no interest is a bigger deal than usual

Worth placing this against what is happening with lending right now.

Banks in Nepal have dropped auto loan rates to historic lows, some below 5 percent, down from the 13 to 14 percent borrowers faced a few years back. Borrowing money has not been this cheap in recent memory.

Bajaj has gone a step past that. Across a five-year repayment, the saving between nothing and five percent adds up to a meaningful sum, and the cashback sits on top of it.

One thing to check before signing anything. Schemes like this are usually paid for by the distributor, not the lender, which can mean the showroom has less flexibility on the price itself. Ask whether you can take the cash discount and the interest-free financing together, or whether picking one closes off the other.

The warranty is the quiet win

Five years of cover is the part of this offer that deserves more attention than it will get.

Electric two-wheelers simply have not been on Nepali roads long enough for anyone to be confident about the long run. How batteries hold up, whether parts stay available, whether service networks keep pace. Petrol scooters earned that confidence over decades. EVs have not had the time.

A five-year warranty is Bajaj taking that risk onto its own books instead of leaving it with the buyer. For somebody making their first move away from petrol, that reassurance is worth more than any number on a discount poster.

What Bajaj says

Abhimanyu Golchha, a director at Golchha Group, said the campaign was built to give buyers an easier and less complicated path into electric mobility over the festive period, with the financing terms, cashback and extended warranty all aimed at lowering the barrier to owning a Chetak.

Conclusion

Against the rest of the market, this one stands apart in how it is put together.

Hero, TVS and Yamaha have all built their campaigns around draws and scratch cards, where what you walk away with is down to chance. Nothing in Chetak's offer works that way. The financing terms, the warranty and the accessories are known quantities before any paperwork is signed, and the cashback is framed as a maximum rather than a prize.

If an electric scooter was already somewhere on your list, the sum worth doing is the monthly one. Five years of repayment with nothing added in interest moves that figure further than most festive discounts manage.

The campaign runs until Chhath at authorised Bajaj and Chetak showrooms across the country.
