Realme 9 5G Overview

Design and Display

Realme 9 5G features a 6.5-inch LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and has apeak brightness of 600 nits. The display on the new smartphone doesn’t see any upgrades compared to its predecessor, Realme 8 5G, but it's a downgrade compared to the Super AMOLED panel on the Realme 8. 

The device measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 188 grams. It is offered in two different colors- Meteor Black and Stargaze White.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor. It can be paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) tech adds up to 5GB of virtual RAM to the smartphone.

On the software side, the device boots on the Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0. Further, the Realme 9 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Camera and Others

For optics, the triple rear camera setup of the Realme 9 5G consists of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP Macro camera, and a 2MP B&W lens. Upfront is a 16MP camera housed on a punch hole notch for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Furthermore, you get the biometrics options for both Face Unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Realme 9 5G Price and Availability 

Realme 9 5G price in India starts at INR 14,999 for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, where the sales start from 14th March. If the smartphone launches in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.26,000.
