MediaTek unveils Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 chipsets for mid-range smartphones

MediaTek has announced two new chipsets for mid-range smartphones - the Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810. Both these chipsets are built on TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing process and are the successor of the Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 800, respectively.

MediaTek Dimensity 920

The Dimensity 920 is a 6nm octa-core processor that has Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It supports Full HD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The chipset gives the options for both LPDDR5 or LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1 storage.

MediaTek claims that the optimized design for power efficiency extends battery life and offers up to 9% faster gaming performance over the Dimensity 900. It supports the latest 108MP main cameras among multi-camera arrays and video playback of 4k at 30FPS. Furthermore, the chip supports Dual 5G SIM connectivity, the latest WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.

MediaTek Dimensity 810

Like the Dimensity 920, the Dimensity 810 is also a 6nm octa-core processor but offers an older Cortex-A76 core clocked at 2.4GHz along with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It supports Full HD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage.

Furthermore, the Dimensity 810 has a peak download speed of 2.77Gbps, supports up to 64MP camera, WiFi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
