Realme announced its 5G variant of Realme 8 which runs on MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip. Previously the company launched its Realme 8 and 8 Pro variant about a month ago. In this post, we will be looking at the expected Realme 8 5G price in Nepal along with its specifications and features.
Realme 8 5G Overview
Starting with the design of the Realme 8 5G the device comes with a high-gloss indium plating at the back which makes the back of the device extra shiny. You will see a rectangular camera module at the back and a left side punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. And notably, there is no “Dear To Leap” branding as in the 4G and Pro model of Realme 8.
The display here is a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD panel that supports 90Hz of refresh rate. With a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5% the display peaks up to 600 nits of brightness.
Processing the device is the MediaTek’s Dimensity700 which is a 5G chip based on TSMC’s 7nm process. You can pair the processor with 4 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB with the help of a microSD card. With the help of Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology, the device can use internal storage as RAM. The device is operating on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

Moving on to the camera of the Realme 8 5G, the triple camera setup at the back holds a 48MP primary sensor and two 2MP Macro and Black and white (BnW) sensors. For the front camera, you get a 16MP sensor and both front and back cameras can take 1080p videos at 30fps. The camera is the biggest downgrade comparing with the 4G model of Realme 8.
The whole device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W charging, which is another setback for the 5G model as the Realme 8 4G supports 30W of charging.
