Realme has launched its first smartphone of the year 2022, and it’s a flagship GT 2 Pro with several innovative features. Design and Display
Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.78-inch E4 AMOLED panel with a QHD+ resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1,000Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1400 nits brightness. It can adjust the refresh rate between 30Hz and 120Hz. The display also offers 10bit colors, HDR10+ certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
One of the major highlights of the GT 2 Pro is the bio-based materials used to make the rear cover. Realme claims that the case is made from paper, soybeans, and other environmentally friendly materials.

Performance
The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and runs the Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 on top. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
For cooling, the GT 2 Pro features the diamond ice core cooling system Plus. This nine-layer heat dissipation structure uses a 36761mm² heat dissipation area and a 4129mm² VC liquid cooling surface.

Camera
For optics, the triple rear camera setup of the triple rear camera setup is headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is then followed by a 50MP ultrawide sensor, which is the world’s first smartphone camera sensor with 15–degree FoV (Field of View). There’s also a 2-megapixel sensor for macro photography.
Upfront is a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor for selfies and video calls, housed inside the punch-hole cutout on the top left corner of the display.

Battery and Others
Realme GT 2 Pro packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It is the world’s first device to pack a new generation of super-large X-axis linear motor.
The smartphone features a new generation under-display fingerprint scanner, which can detect heart rate as well. Connectivity options on the GT 2 Pro include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Realme GT 2 Pro is currently only available in China, where the price starts at CNY 3,699 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. If the smartphone launches in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.75,000.
