The Nepali auto market is currently full of a variety of motorcycles from various brands. And with a variety of bikes being imported, the customer’s choice and taste of vehicles also vary in different ways depending on the ability, specs, and price of the vehicle.
As the market is fully covered by motorcycles with attractive textures, performance, and price, it’s a kind of hard decision to choose the right one. Well, in the meantime, here we have made a comparative analysis between two of the most popular bikes in Nepal which share somewhat similar qualities in terms of design, engine, price, power capacity and other related specs.
We have made a comparison of two popular bikes in Nepal: Pulsar NS 160 TD and Yamaha FZS V3.0
Engine
Speaking of the engine, the Pulsar NS 160 TD is powered by a 4-stroke single-cylinder 4-valve DTS-I engine while the FZs V3.0 is powered by air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC 2-valve engine.
Similarly, the NS 160’s engine delivers a power of 15.5rpm at 8000rpm along with a peak torque of 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. On the other hand, the FZs v3 engine produces a power of 13.2bhp at 8000rpm along with a peak torque of 12.8Nm at 6000rpm.
Both of these bikes have been integrated with the fuel-injection (fi) system while both of them hold a 5-speed gearbox.

Verdict
Well, comparing and contrasting the in-built features or specs of both these bikes, we would personally recommend you to go for the Pulsar NS 160, mostly, if you’re in a budget as both of these bikes somewhat inherit the similar features while there are only some features varied on them which can be compromised. The major reason behind the choice of Bajaj is its price point which seems very much fair compared to the FZs v3.0. Also, glancing at the future run, the spare parts availability and servicing of Bajaj is very much facile compared to Yamaha in the context of Nepal.
