Pirelli, the world’s 5th largest tyre manufacturer has recently unveiled its new Smart Cyber Tyres which come with 5G connectivity integrated into it. Yes, you heard that right, its 5G. These new tyres are designed to transfer the road data over the superfast 5G network.
The brand had recently introduced this new innovative concept at the 5G Automotive Association event at Turin, Italy. In the event, the firm had also demonstrated the tire’s vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology in front of the live audience.
Well, instead of speaking of the tyres’ working mechanism on broad science, simply, the Pirelli Smart Syber Tyres can help communicate with other vehicles over 5G connectivity while it also conveys the possible accidental threats to make the rider aware of meeting an accident.
In the recent demo, the firm also showcased a car equipped with Pirelli new Cyber Tyres which sends a signal whenever it comes near contact with water or anything which makes the vehicle lost traction. And talking of the data transfer, the fastest 5G technology used on the tyres immediately sends the signal without any delay. Well, the further details on the new project have not come ahead yet while we will update you on that as soon as it kicks in.

This new innovative solution by Pirelli is, in fact, a great initiative by a company for both the riders and the firm’s benefit. However, speaking of the Pirelli smart tyre’s launch in the Nepali market, we may have to wait for it for quite some more time as even 5G connectivity options haven’t still rolled out to Nepal yet.
