Global Tablet Market
At the time of writing, Global Tablet shipments have declined by 15% in Q3 2021 (July-September) compared to last year. A total of 37.7 million tablets were shipped during the period, while in Q3 2020 the shipment was 44.3 million units.
In terms of tablet vendors, Apple continues to dominate the market with 15.2 million shipments for the period covering a 40.4% market share. Samsung was second with its 19.1% market share shipping 7.2 million tablets. Lenovo rounds up in the top 3, shipping 4.3 million units of tablets.
Amazon and Huawei did see themselves in the top 5, but both companies saw a significant decline in market share on yearly basis. Amazon experienced a decline of 44.5% in its market share, while Huawei’s share fell by 50.9%.
