Vivo has launched its flagship X80 series smartphones in China. The vanilla model of the series, Vivo X80 is powered by MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9000 processor and is the first smartphone to use the Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor. Vivo X80 Overview
Design and Display
Vivo X80 features a 6.78-inch curved E5 AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, and has 1500 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
In terms of design, the device has a circular camera island inside of the rectangular platform, just like the Vivo X Note. It is offered in Black, Cyan, and Orange color options. The device measures 8.78mm thick and weighs 206 grams.

Performance
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also a self-developed Vivo V1+ chip, which is both an image chip and an independent display chip. For Cooling, the smartphone features 23 layers of heat dissipation stacks. It features a 41266 m㎡ total heat dissipation area with a 4285mm² VC Vapor Chamber.
Vivo X 80 packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Vivo claims that the 80W fast charging can provide a 50% charge in just 11 minutes. On the software side, it runs on the Android 12-based OriginOS.

Camera and Others
For optics, the Vivo X Note features a triple camera setup tuned by Zeiss. The main camera here is a 50MP Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization). It is then followed by a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultrawide lens and a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait lens with 2x optical zoom. Upfront is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB-Type-C port. Furthermore, it features an in-display optical fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for biometrics.

Vivo X80 Price and Availability
Vivo X80 price in China starts at CNY 3,699 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and goes all the way up to CNY 4,899 for the top 12GB + 512GB model. The device is already up for pre-order in the region and will go on sale starting April 29. Vivo has not announced any details about Vivo X80's global availability.
