Xiaomi has recently launched the new Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max in the Indian market. After the massive success of the predecessor, the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro is also expected to win the hearts of Xiaomi fans. Can it carry on its legacy, let’s see if it can or not?
Redmi Note 9 Pro Overview
The new Redmi Note 9 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inches Dot display supporting Full HD+ resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9. It comes with a small notch on the top which houses the device’s front camera. The device is shielded with triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, back, and the camera.
Moreover, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G which is not considered a greater update compared to the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Coming on the RAM and ROM configurations, there are two options available—4/64GB and 6/128GB respectively.

Highlighting on the cameras, the device comes packed with a quad-camera setup at the back which comprises 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The ultra-wide lens has 109-degree FOV while also features super image stabilization. Likewise, on the front is housed a 16MP selfie camera at the top of the display.
Coming on to the powerhouse of the device, i.e. its battery. The new Redmi Note 9 Pro packs a massive 5020mAh battery which supports 18W Fast Charging. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Type-C USB port.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Overview
Flaunting the updated Aura Balance Design, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display which supports Full HD+ resolution. This one also features a cinematic aspect ratio of 20:9. Designed with curved edges on the body, this one is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which shields the front, back, and the camera in the device.
The new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is powered by the same chipset used in the Pro version, i.e. the Snapdragon 720G. This chipset is also used in the other popular mid-ranger, i.e. Redmi 6 Pro. In terms of RAM and ROM configurations, the device comes in 3 different variants—6/64GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB. The device also supports UFS 2.1 storage. This one also comes with an Elite Gaming feature which enhances the user gaming experience.
Highlighting on the camera specs, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max packs quad-camera setup on the back which comprises a 64MP primary lens with Samsung’s GW1 sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Other quirky camera features on the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max includes RAW photography, Pro Colour, Night Mode and the 21:9 frame support. Likewise, on the front is housed a 32MP selfie shooter on the top-notch of the display.

Speaking of the powerhouse of the device, i.e. its battery, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max packs a massive 5,024mAh battery which comes with 33W Fast Charger. This one also consists of the 3.5mm headphone jack while the IR blaster feature is also included in the device like the other Redmi phones. Except for this, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max also has the 2x2 MIMO for Wi-Fi which reduces the lags while gaming.
