MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2020 has recently been canceled due to coronavirus outbreaks everywhere which might cause possible health concerns in the visitors.
The smartphone show was all set to start from 24th February in Barcelona, Spain. However, due to the latest threats of coronavirus rumbling across everywhere, the association had to, unfortunately, cancel the show. The 2019 MWC was a big hit last year as various top brands such as Samsung, Huawei, Nokia and more had unveiled a variety of alluring models like Samsung Galaxy Fold, Moto Razr, Huawei Mate X and so on. However, the excitement had diminished due to the show’s cancellation.
GSMA CEO, John Hoffman, said, “With due regard to the safe and healthy environment in Barcelona and the host country today, the GSMA has canceled MWC Barcelona 2020 because the global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak, travel concern and other circumstances, make it impossible for the GSMA to hold the event."
