Design

The sleek Dirtbike with a most useful thing when you travel is a carrier that can carry weight up to 5kg behind your seat even comforting pillion rider.  It may not be as fancy as other dirt bikes you see on the road but when you talk about its simplicity, it's best. Handle situated at exactly vertical of your ankle when you ride which makes you feel the pleasure of a dirt bike.

Engine

The XR 150L, the dual-purpose motorcycle is perfectly suited for its two functions, paved city roads and unpaved off roads. Its four-stroke 150cc engine delivers greater power and less vibration, giving the rider comfort and confidence to go any further. The engine provides 12.14 HP @ 7750 RPM with max net torque 12.5Nm @ 6000 RPM.

Fuel tank capacity and mileage

XR 150L has a fuel capacity of 12L where reserve capacity is 3L. Having mileage of constant 30-35KMPL is best on dirt bikes, while it's also dual sport it provides mileage more than 40KMPL while riding on highways.

Gear

The pattern of gear is 1-N-2-3-4-5 where shifting of gear is very smooth.

Handling, Suspension and Braking

There are no difficulties in handling, the best handle at the best position is what you feel while riding XR150L. Even riding a whole day on offroad there was no single difficulty I faced.
The front suspension is Telescopic fork, 180mm axle travel while the Rare suspension is Single Shock swing are, 150mm axle travel. Compared to another dirt bike like VR of Hartford, it’s suspension is much good and durable.
Front brake has 240mm disc brake while the rare brake is a mechanical drum. Even though it does not have the dual disc, there is no single complain about braking according to its speed.

The good

- Handling
- Comfortable seat for both, rider and pillion.
- Braking
- Dual sport bike
- Good mileage
- Durable spare parts

The Bad

- Headlight
- Expensive spare parts
- Price tag according to CC.
- No tubeless tyres.

The Competition

The XR 150L faces strong competition from the VR 150. The UM DSR 200 is another competitor for this bike. There are just a huge number of players in this class of bike at this price point. You can find the latest price of all Honda Bikes in Nepal.

Its been a year since I have been riding this machine and there’s not even a single point where I can complain. Though it's built with a single front disc brake and drum brake at the rear side, braking doesn’t have any issues too. When you look for a dirt bike it doesn’t matter of speed, what matters is about pick-up, grippy tyres and comfort. And Honda XR150L is complete with these essential features.
