Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition launched in Nepal | Price and Specifications

Ford Nepal has recently launched new their new car, the Ford Ecosport Thunder Edition in Nepal. The new-gen 2019 Ford EcoSport Thunder has received several cosmetic and exterior upgrades. Ford has added some premium feel to this new beast.

Overview

The new Ford EcoSport Thunder comes has received some upgrades on the front grille and rearview mirrors along with dark inserts on the headlamp cluster and dual-tone bonnet and decals on the doors. More on, the two-wheeler adopts new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Highlighting on the inside, the car gets some upgrades on the front seats, door inserts, and instrument panels. Also, the EcoSports Thunder Edition receives a 9-inch floating touchscreen integrated with full-on navigation system. Additionally, there is also the electronic sunroof which might allure most of the Ford fans.

Coming to the engine options, the new edition EcoSport Thunder comes in three different engine options: 1.5L TiVCT petrol, 1.5L TDCi diesel, and 1.0L TiVCT EcoBoost. The 1.5 TiVCT petrol engine gets a 3-cylinder petrol engine which generates a power of 123PS and 150Nm peak torque while is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Similarly, the 1.5L RDC diesel gets a 4-cylinder diesel engine which delivers a power of 100PS with 205Nm of peak torque. Its engine is also mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Lastly, the 1.0L tiVCT EcoBoost variant gets a 3-cylinder petrol engine which churns out 125PS power along with a peak torque of 170Nm. Its engine is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox transmission.

The compact SUV is now available in five variants: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+ and EcoSport. However, there is no automatic gearing option available in any of the variant.

Furthermore, there are six airbags provided for safety in the new Edition EcoSport. Inside the cabin, rests an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, the other features include automatic HID headlamps, daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, electrochromic mirrors, tire pressure monitoring system, and push-button start.

Price and Availability

The new 2019 Thunder Edition Ford EcoSport is now available around all the Ford Showrooms in Nepal. While coming to the pricing, the four-wheeler comes with an introductory price tag of Rs. 47.40 lakhs in Nepal.
