2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Is Here, But When Will Nepal Get It?

Royal Enfield has been on a roll lately, and the 2026 Guerrilla 450 is proof that they are listening to their riders. This is not one of those half-hearted annual updates where they slap on a new colour and call it a day. There are real, tangible improvements here , a brand new sporty variant, throttle maps that actually behave, better rubber, and a smarter dash. All of this starting at just INR. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Guerrilla 450 was already a good bike. Fun to look at, punchy enough for the city, and dripping with that Royal Enfield character that is hard to put into words but impossible to ignore. But it had its rough edges, a jerky throttle being the biggest complaint from riders. The 2026 update sands those rough edges down considerably.

So whether you are a first-time buyer eyeing your dream motorcycle or someone who has been waiting for Royal Enfield to get this one just right , the wait is over. Let's get into it.

Design

The Guerrilla 450 has always been about blending old-school soul with modern sensibility, and the 2026 update doubles down on that identity. The signature round LED headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and clean tail section remain intact, but the new Apex variant adds a sportier edge with a stubby headlamp visor and a seat cowl that makes the bike look far more aggressive from the rear.

The Apex comes in three bold new shades: Apex Red, Apex Black, and Apex Green. The Dash variant gets a fresh Twilight Blue with complementary handguards and a headlight grille. The rest of the colour lineup carries over from before.

Built on a steel twin-spar tubular frame, the Guerrilla 450 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. At 2,090mm long and 185kg kerb weight, it strikes the right balance between a compact city bike and a weekend tourer.

Performance

Revised Throttle Maps for a More Satisfying Ride

Under the tank sits the proven Sherpa 450, a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor producing 39.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch. The engine itself is unchanged, but Royal Enfield has significantly reworked the throttle maps.

In Street mode, the response is now smoother and more linear, ideal for city traffic. Sport mode delivers a more pronounced punch in the mid-range, making overtakes feel effortless. The annoying throttle jerk that characterised earlier models has largely been ironed out.

A new mode retention feature ensures the bike remembers your last selected ride mode even after switching off the ignition, a small but genuinely practical addition.

Upgraded Tyres for Better Grip

The Apex variant rides on Vredestein Centuro tyres, chosen for their sportier feel and strong cornering grip. The Dash and Flash variants continue with CEAT Gripp XL RE tyres, now updated with a softer compound for improved traction in both dry and wet conditions.

Features

New Apex Variant, The Star of the Show

The biggest headline for 2026 is the new Apex variant. Its handlebar sits 56mm lower than the standard setup, creating a more forward-leaning, engaged riding posture. Combined with the Vredestein tyres and sporty seat cowl, it transforms the Guerrilla from a relaxed roadster into a focused street machine, without sacrificing daily comfort.

Updated Tripper Navigation Dash

The Tripper Dash now lets riders lock their smartphone screen while using GPS navigation ,  preventing accidental touches mid-ride. Royal Enfield has also improved overall smartphone connectivity, making pairing and navigation smoother across all 2026 variants.

Ride Modes and Mode Retention

All 2026 variants get updated Street and Sport ride modes with the new mode retention capability, the bike remembers your preferred mode after every restart.

Premium LED Lighting and Connectivity

Full LED lighting comes standard across all variants. The Dash and Flash variants feature a 4-inch round TFT display with Google Maps navigation, music controls, and smartphone connectivity. A USB charging port and ride-by-wire technology complete the tech package.

Is It Available in Nepal?

Not yet. As of April 2026, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has not officially launched in Nepal. Alpha Automotive, the authorised Royal Enfield distributor in Nepal, currently offers five models in the country , and the Guerrilla 450 is not one of them.

When it does eventually arrive, estimates suggest the price could range between NPR 9.50 lakh to NPR 10.80 lakh depending on the variant, factoring in import duties and local taxes. But until Alpha Automotive makes an official announcement, there is no confirmed launch date or pricing for Nepal.

How Does It Compare to the Competition?

The Guerrilla 450's most direct rival is the KTM 390 Duke, sharper, more aggressive, and more track-focused. The Duke is undeniably quicker. However, the Guerrilla 450 counters with Royal Enfield's lifestyle and community ecosystem, along with a more approachable character that suits everyday urban riding without being exhausting.

If you want outright performance, the 390 Duke wins. But if you want a bike that looks stunning, rides characterfully, and comes with a strong ownership community, the Guerrilla 450 makes a compelling case.

Conclusion

The 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is not a revolutionary overhaul, it is a thoughtful, targeted refinement of an already-good motorcycle. The new Apex variant adds genuine sporty intent. The revised throttle maps fix the main criticism of earlier models. Better tyres, smarter connectivity, and the practical mode retention feature make this a more polished, mature package.

At a starting price of INR. 2.49 lakh in India and approximately NPR 9.50 lakh and above in Nepal, the Guerrilla 450 offers impressive value for riders drawn to the neo-retro aesthetic. The 2026 update is arguably the best time to take the plunge.

If you are keen, it is worth keeping an eye on Alpha Automotive's official channels or your nearest Royal Enfield showroom in Nepal for updates and launch date in Nepal.
