Why is Apple Logo Half Bitten?

The famous Apple logo with a bite taken out of it has a few possible origins, but the most widely accepted one is that it was designed as a tribute to the late computer pioneer, Alan Turing.

Turing was an English mathematician and computer scientist who is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence. He made significant contributions to code-breaking during World War II and is widely regarded as a hero for his work. However, he was later prosecuted and convicted for being gay, which was illegal in the UK at the time. He committed suicide in 1954 at the age of 41.

According to some sources, the Apple logo with a bite taken out of it was designed as a reference to Turing's tragic death. The bite mark is said to represent the poison apple that led to his demise, while the rainbow colors of the logo are a symbol of the diversity and creativity that Turing championed.

However, there are other theories about the origin of the Apple logo. For example, some people believe that the bite mark was simply added to the logo to make it more visually interesting and distinctive. Others have suggested that it may have been inspired by a similar logo used by the Beatles' record label, Apple Records.

Ultimately, the true origin of the Apple logo remains a subject of debate and speculation.
