During a flood or heavy rainfall, the issue of motorcycles being drowned in water is a common problem for most of the bike or scooter riders. At this time, the restoration of vehicles should be done as soon as possible because being late may sometimes cause permanent damage to your bike or scooters.
If your bike ever gets drowned in water, first of all, wash the bike thoroughly to remove mud and other particles using pressurized water. Next, never try to start your engine in the first place because if the water has entered into the engine, it may cause some serious problem.

After washing the bike, follow the following steps to demand safety for your bike.
<ul>
<li>Clean the brake pads perfectly and apply grease to it after its dried well.</li>
<li>Remove the battery and unplug other terminals attached wot hot.</li>
<li>Remove the air cleaner and replace it with a new one.</li>
<li>Remove the speedometer box on the front, clean it and dry it. Add grease.</li>
<li>Tilt the two-wheeler to check if there is left water or mud stuck inside it and check the spark plug by removing it first.</li>
<li>Drain the fuel tank fully and check out its lid to see if there is any corrosion in it. After that clean it with gasoline and apply compressed air inside.</li>
<li>Also, drain the air compressor tank.</li>
<li>Clean the drive chain using kerosene and lubricate it with a chain or gear oil adjusting it right into its place</li>
<li>Test the light bulb sockets to see if any problem persists</li>
<li>After that, check the air pressure on the tire and inflate it if required. If it doesn&rsquo;t inflate accordingly, check if there are any leaks on it and get it repaired.</li>
<li>Clean or replace the fuel strainer and overhaul the carburetor, then gently clean the tiny details on it.</li>
<li>After that install the spark plug, carburetor, and muffler at its right place.</li>
<li>After cleaning the fuel tank, fill in the engine oil at recommended volume.</li>
</ul>
[Note: Check the bike 2-3 times by tilting and shaking it if there is any mud or water stuck in it. This is a very important step you must follow]

<li>After following all the steps mentioned above, start the engine and leave it for 5-10 minutes and drain the oil two or three times until the whitish color in the oil gets eradicated and the oil only remains. The removal of whitish color in the oil is an indication that the water mixture in it has totally been flushed out.</li>
