Vivo’s New Midrange Phone, The Vivo S16, Comes With Snapdragon 870 Chip and a 120Hz Curved AMOLED Display

Introduction 

Vivo has recently launched its S16-series phones, in which Vivo S16 is the vanilla model. It is a mid-range offering from the company and a successor to Vivo S15. Moreover, the phone brings Snapdragon 870 SoC, 120Hz curved AMOLED display, and 66W fast charging support.

Performance 

The performance section of the Vivo S16 is overseen by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 processor. It is a powerful chip based on a power-efficient 7nm process and features Adreno 650 GPU. Adding on, the Snapdragon 870 packs eight cores, one of which is a prime Cortex-A77 core that clocks up to  3.2GHz. 

On the software side, the Vivo S16 boots on the Android 13-based OriginOS 3. It gets its fuel from a 4600mAh battery and supports 66-watt fast charging. Moreover, Vivo claims that the phone charges up to 50% in just 19 minutes with a compatible 66W charger. 

Other Features 

For optics, the triple-camera setup of the smartphone features a 64MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront is a 50-megapixel camera with autofocus and dual soft LED flash for selfies and video calls.
