A well-known company, TCL is all set to debut in the smartphone market with its self-branded range of smartphones. This company is primarily famous for manufacturing other electronics, mostly TVs. TCL is a china-based tech company under which famous brands Alcatel and Blackberry also work under.
After acquiring quite a good name in the tech business, this Chinese giant has planned on releasing its own smartphone with the name of TCL Plex. However, this device will only be available around certain European markets this year. From the recent info about the device from the internet, it seems that the device is packed with some alluring great features.
TCL Plex Overview
Being a TV manufacturer, most of the viewers and tech enthusiasts might have expected a lot from device’s display, well go on to that first. The TCL Plex flaunts a 6.53-inch Nxt vision display which comes with 1080 x 2340 resolution which implies it supports Full HD+. The display gets a tiny punch hole at the top left corner where the front camera houses. TCL has elected to label this display as “dotch” display. But as the other smartphones these days, the TCL Plex won’t have the in-display fingerprint scanner. Instead, it will have the regular side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Highlighting on the insides, the TCL Plex will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC which an octa-core and powerful CPU for performing full-on multitasking. The CPU is coupled with 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of onboard storage. Also, you will get an option for expandable storage via microSD.
Additionally, speaking of the photographic facets of the device, it is integrated with a triple camera setup on the rear side which comprises of 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor along with 16MP secondary camera (Samsung s5K3P9 sensor) and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front houses a 24MP selfie shooter under the notch.
The TCL Plex gets a 3820mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0.
