Tata Punch launching on Baisakh in Nepal | Expectations

Sipradi Trading, Tata's official distributor of Nepal, is unveiling another much-awaited micro SUV Punch. The company is expected to start selling it by the second week of Baishakh.

The new Tata Punch is available in 4 different variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative

Furthermore, customers can opt from Rhythm (optional on Pure and Adventure variants), Dazzle (optional on Accomplished variant), and iRA (optional on Creative variant) customization options. 

The Rhythm pack in the Pure variant offers a floating 3.5-inch infotainment unit, four speakers, and steering audio control. The Rhythm pack in the Adventure variant offers a seven-inch Harman infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two tweeters, and a rear camera. 

The Dazzle pack in the Accomplished variant gets 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and black tape on the A-pillar. The iRA pack is optional on the Creative variant, and it offers the IRA-connected car technology. 

 

Design

In terms of exterior, the vehicle is available in seven single and dual-tone color options: 

Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Atomic Orange, Meteor Bronze, Tornado Blue, and Calypso Red. 

The SUV is designed under Impact 2.0 design language. It adopts a set of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps, stylish roof rails, dual-tone roof, and signature LED taillights.

Interior

In the interior, the Punch offers a 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment unit supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6 speakers, 7-inch colored TFT screen, voice recognition, voice alerts, USB port. 

Similarly, it also offers phone and navigation mirroring between infotainment and the instrument cluster. For convenience, it also offers a push-button start, automatic temperature control, adjustable driver seats, automatic headlamps, steering-mounted controls, rear armrest, fast USB charger, and more. 

 

Engine and Transmission

As for the engine, the Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2L Revotron petrol engine delivering 84bhp at 6000rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 3300rpm. This one is mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox option. 

 

For additional fuel efficiency, the vehicle also offers cruise control and Idle Start Stop mode which automatically turns off the engine at traffic. 

Safety Features

The Tata Punch is offered a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 4-star for child protection (as of Global NCAP). 

As for safety features, there are two airbags offered, ABS with EBD, a front fog lamp, child seat ISOFIX anchor points, parking camera, tyre puncture repair kit, seat belt reminders, first-in-segment Brake Sway Control.
