There is no limit to the tax that a person buying a car can pay to the state in Nepal. However, due to the continuous strictures in the banking facility, one has to pay at least Rs. 12- 13 lakhs for the downpayment while buying an entry-level car as well.
However, due to the 20 percent down payment for electric cars, the buyer of the top variant of Nexon EV with sunroof will have to pay Rs. 800,000 down payment while buying on finance.
The price of the car is lower as the government of Nepal is promoting electric cars and giving full exemption from low customs duty and excise duty.
For buying the top variant of Nexon EV, one needs to pay Rs. 8,19,800/- on the first downpayment. Further, the interest rates will be charged depending on the financial institutions.
Nexon EV is also very popular due to its high ground clearance. Nexon has a high ground clearance of 205 mm.
