Bangalore-based e-mobility startup- Simple Energy is all set to launch its first-ever electric scooter, Mark 2 in the Indian market. The new electric scooter by Simple Energy will be launched in India on 15th August 2021. This e-scooter will be based on Mark 1 prototype which was unveiled by the firm last year.
Talking of the Mark 2 e-scooter, the scooter will use a 4.8kWh lithium-ion battery and is claimed to accelerate from 0-50km/hr within 3.6 seconds time frame. More on, it is said to have a top speed of 100km/hr. Similarly, the e-scooter arrives with a whopping range of 240km on a single charge.

Additionally, the Mark 2 scooter comes with a minimalistic and compact design scheme, however, it looks more futuristic. The company has also said that the e-scooter will arrive with a removable battery while the time required for it to fully charge hasn’t been mentioned.

Other notable features of the scooter include a touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, onboard navigation, etc. The Mark 2 e-scooter is expected to arrive at the Indian market at a price tag of INR 1.1-1.2 lakh.
