When it comes to smartphone cameras, Samsung is constantly pushing the boundaries on what they can achieve. Recently, the company announced its new 200MP sensor named Samsung ISOCELL HP3 for smartphones. It is Samsung’s second 200MP sensor after the ISOCELL HP1, which the company didn’t use in any of its smartphones.
In recent times, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra was rumored to arrive with this new ISOCELL HP3 sensor. However, a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, claims the S23 Ultra won’t come with the new HP3. The tipster tweets that the “HP3 will not be adopted by Samsung S23 Ultra.”
There’s no apparent reason why the Galaxy S23 Ultra won’t feature the ISOCELL HP3. However, many reports claim that it will take Samsung some time to fine-tune and optimize the processing of the Galaxy cameras.
Yes, it is sad to hear that we won’t see the new 200MP HP3 sensor on the S23 Ultra. Nevertheless, the smartphone has a high chance of coming along with Samsung’s old ISOCELL HP1 200MP sensor.
Talking about ISOCELL HP3, although we might not see this sensor with S23 Ultra, it will surely come with a future Galaxy flagship. Till then, here are some of the key upgrades that came with the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 200MP Sensor:

- Features an improved Smart-ISO Pro that merges image information of Low and High ISO modes to create an HDR image

Samsung ISOCELL HP3 is a revolutionary 200MP smartphone camera sensor with insane capabilities. However, we might have to wait a bit longer before seeing the sensor in a commercially available phone.
