Samsung is planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G in India on the 28th of April. The Galaxy M42 will be a low-cost 5G phone from Samsung. When the device launches in India we can expect the device to arrive soon after in the Nepali market. It will be interesting to see if Samsung will bring the device as Galaxy M42 5G or change its name like they renamed the Galaxy F62 to Galaxy M62 while launching the device in the Nepali market.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Overview

Starting with the display of M42 5G, the device comes with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Weighing in at 193 grams the back of the M42 5G has a square camera module and water-drop notch on the display of the device.

Moving on to the processor, the Galaxy M42 comes with Snapdragon 750G chipset which is a 5G chip from Qualcomm. You can pair the processor with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The device operates on One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11.

For the camera, you get a quad-camera setup at the back that holds a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and two 5MP macro and depth sensors. The rear camera setup is capable to take up to 4K videos at 30fps. At the front, you get a 20MP selfie camera that is capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps.

The whole device is powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging. Further, you also get the support of an under-display fingerprint scanner.
