Realme has finally unveiled the Realme GT Neo 3 smartphone. It is the successor of Realme GT Neo 2 and brings specs like Dimensity 8100 processor, 120Hz AMOLED display, and the Special Edition version that supports a 150W UltraDart charging. So, let’s go through the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Realme GT Neo 3 in Nepal.

Design and Display

Realme GT Neo 3 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1000Hz touch sampling rate, and gets the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also offers 1000 nits of brightness, HDR10+ support, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

In terms of design, the smartphone features racing aesthetics. The Silverstone white and Le Mans Blue color options feature racing stripes on the rear panel that goes through Realme’s branding and the rectangular camera island.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor built on TSMC’s 5nm process. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 high-speed storage. There is a nine-layer heat dissipation structure that uses diamond thermal gel, a 3D graphite layer, a 39606mm² heat dissipation area, and a 4129mm² VC liquid cooling surface. On the software side, the device boots on the latest Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

Battery and Charging Speeds

One of the major highlights of the GT Neo 3 is its charging speeds. It comes in two battery options of 5000mAh and 4500mAh. The bigger 5000mAh model comes with 80W SuperVOOC charging, claimed to fully charge the device in just 32 minutes. Even more impressive charging feat comes with the 4500mAh model, which supports a 150W UltraDart charging (the world’s fastest charging commercially available phone as of now).

The 150W charging tech is capable of filling 50% of the 4500mAh battery in just 5 minutes. Realme has used multiple boost charge pumps to increase the current going into the phone at a 98.5% conversion rate. It also features 38 different safety measures that limit the battery temperature to 43°C (110°F) while charging. The company also claims that the batteries will retain 80% of the original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.

Camera and Others

For optics, the triple rear camera setup of the triple rear camera setup is headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is then followed by an 8MP ultrawide with 119. FoV and a 2-megapixel sensor for macro photography. Upfront is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options of the GT Neo 3 include G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Furthermore, the device features an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.

Realme GT Neo 3 Price and Availability

Currently, Realme GT Neo 3 is only available in China at a starting price of CNY 1,999 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model with 80W charging. The price goes all the way up to CNY 2,899 for the top 150W model with a 12/256GB memory configuration. If the smartphone launches in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.45,000.
