Nubia has just announced the Red Magic 8 Pro series in China, which includes the Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+. Both devices feature similar specifications, with the main difference being their battery size.
The Red Magic 8 Pro and Red Magic 8 Pro Plus from Nubia are described in this article along with a summary of their features, availability, and anticipated pricing in Nepal.
Overview of Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro Plus
Display and Design
The Red Magic 8 Pro has also undergone a complete redesign by Nubia. It currently sports a boxy shape with sharp corners. The left side is where the gaming arm buttons are located, along with sliders with a red border. There are also volume controllers and a power button too.
Transparent and matte black color variants for the smartphone will be offered. A 6.8-inch flat AMOLED screen with 120Hz and symmetric side bezels of 1.48mm is located on the rear.
A 93.7% display ratio is made possible by this for the phone. A 10-bit color gamut, 1440Hz PWM dimming, a touch sampling rate of 960Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits are further features of the display.
Chipset
Both the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+ feature the best chip available, which in this situation is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as is standard for any premium gaming phone. The newest Qualcomm chip features Octa-core Cortex-X3 Prime, Cortex-A715, Cortex-A710 performance, and Cortex-A510 efficiency cores.
It is built on a new 4nm node. On the graphics front, it features the most recent Adreno 740 GPU, which is built on the ARM IMMORTALIS GPU and supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Thus, the chipset alone makes smartphones' CPU and GPU 37 percent faster and 42 percent better, respectively.
Furthermore, the implementation of the LPDDR5 (8533Mbps) and UFS 4.0 (3.5GB/s) standards yields 37 percent fast memory and 100 percent faster space or storage.
Red Core R2 game chip and Magic Cooling system
Red Core R2 is an independent gaming processor that supports the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to improve the user's gaming experience. The purpose of this new chip is to enhance the arm buttons, touchscreen inputs, vibration motors, and audio effects for a realistic gameplay experience.
Red Magic 8 Pro/Pro+ would also include Nubia's most recent in-house built ICE 11.0 cooling system in addition to the upgraded gaming chip. Nubia is aggressively pushing its unique 3D Ice-level twin pump Vapor Chamber with liquid cooling, which the company claims is the first of its kind in the industry, out of all the cooling features on the smartphone.

With a capacity of 2068mm3, it is also the largest VC in the Red Magic series and sports a thermal conductivity that is 100 percent higher than that of conventional VCs.
Apart from that, the ICE 11.0 cooling system is made up of more than a dozen other parts, including high-speed centrifugal fans, an air channel, a layer of graphene, and extra 10 layers of heat-dissipating materials. Together, these all contribute to a 16° Celsius reduction in the phone's surface temperature.
Other Specs
The Red Magic 8 Pro series' cameras won't be very good because gaming phones aren't typically known for them. The primary camera of the 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ is a 50MP ISOCELL GN5 sensor.
A 2MP macro sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens are added to this. A 16MP under-display camera is available for selfies in the meantime. Moving on, the devices include a 1115K+1216 ultra-linear stereo speaker configuration with 96kHz lossless music and 48ms low latency, all powered by Snapdragon sound.
The technical characteristics of both gadgets have been comparable up until this point. However, they have different battery capacities, with the 8 pros having a 6000mAh battery and supporting 80W charging. In contrast, the Red Magic 8 Pro+ has a reduced 5000mAh battery but allows quicker 165W charging.
