Prohibition order (Nisedhaagya) in Kathmandu valley starting Baishakh 16th | Private-Public vehicles to be halted

A meeting between the Chief District Officers (CDOs) of all the 3 districts- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur has announced to issue a prohibition order (Nisedhagya) in the valley starting April 29th.

The meeting held this morning has decided to issue a restraining order as the infection rate of COVID-19 is increasing at a rapid pace in Nepal.

During the prohibition order period, no public, as well as private vehicles, will be allowed to run on roads. Prohibition will also be enforced in other areas such as educational institutes, hotels, parks, and other areas with a high number of human involvements.

Yatayat Office Kathmandu will also be closed during this prohibition period.

Arrangements have been made to operate essential services even amid prohibition orders.
