Mini has launched its new electric model-Cooper SE in India today.
The bookings for the new Cooper SE commenced back in October 2021, in India. However, due to its popularity, the EV was sold out within just 4-5 days of launch. And now, the company has again opened the pre-booking for this premium electric car.
Mini Cooper SE Overview
First, the new Mini Cooper SE is only available in a single, fully-loaded variant.
The Cooper SE derives its power from a 32.6kWh battery pack that delivers a peak power of 181 bhp alongside 270Nm of peak torque. The car attains a speed of 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds while having a top speed of 150km/h.
Highlighting the range, the company claims it to provide a range of 270 kms in a full charge. An 11 KW AC charger provided with it can charge the vehicle from 0-80 % in 2.5 hrs. Using a 50kW DC Fast Charger, it only takes 36 minutes to attain the same charge.
Exterior?
Design-wise, the vehicle features circular classic LED headlamps, a new grille, revised front and rear bumper, 17-inch alloy wheels, a contrast black roof, and ORVMs with yellow accents.
The electric car is offered in 4 different color options- Midnight Black Metallic, British Racing Green IV Metallic, White Silver Metallic, and Moonwalk Grey.
Interior?
The Mini Cooper SE arrives with a premium interior. This one is equipped with a 5.5-inch MID, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Harman-Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, an electric parking brake, Nappa Leather stitched steering wheels, and so on.
The 2022 Mini Cooper SE electric car is currently launched at a price of INR 47.20 lakhs in India.
