The 100-year-old European brand Morris Garage (MG) has been acquired by the Chinese company SAIC Group and the brand is gaining good momentum. In 2018, the company unveiled the concept of electric SUVs, and the company, which has become aggressive in the production of electric cars, is now planning on a new electric crossover MG4.
The company is currently producing and selling ZS EV and MG5 models under the MG brand. Within the next two months, the company has finalized the launch of the new crossover model MG4. The company is expected to release new MG4 teasers soon. Along with the new car, MG4 is expected to bring a new wave in the electric car market with the help of three electric models’ introduction.
MG has also unveiled the facelift model of its first SUV ZS in Nepal. Compared to the previous one, the facelifted ZS EV, which was brought by increasing the battery size, is now going to give more range. The company is also preparing to launch MG5 in the Nepali market soon.
Although not much has been said about the car’s battery, motor, range, and features, the MG5 is expected to be launched at a lower price than the ZS. According to various reports, the new MG 4 will have a battery of 40 to 45 kWh and a range of 350 km per hour.
MG is expected to launch the new model in the last quarter of 2022. As MG's electric vehicles are gaining popularity in the Nepali market, it can be expected that MG4 will come to Nepal soon.
