MediaTek has launched a new Helio series processor called the MediaTek Helio G36. It is a 4G chip for entry-level gaming phones. So, let’s check out the capabilities of this new MediaTek SoC by going through its specs and features.
MediaTek Helio G36 Overview
MediaTek Helio G36 is built using a power-efficient 12nm FinFET production process, which delivers excellent power efficiency. This 64-bit octa-core processor features an Arm Cortex-A53 CPU with peak speeds of 2.2GHz. Besides, there’s an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU with 680MHz GPU frequency.
As mentioned above, the Helio G36 is a gaming chip, and it features MediaTek’s HyperEngine 2.0 Lite gaming technology. It comes with Networking Engine 2.0 and Resource Management Engine 2.0 for intelligent management of CPU, GPU, and memory according to real-time measurements of power, thermal and gameplay factors. So, we can expect a great gaming performance from the Helio G36-powered smartphones.
Other capabilities of the Helio G36 include support for 90Hz displays, a 50MP camera, and dual 4G SIM. The chip fully integrates the global 4G LTE Cat-7 modem (2 CC-CA) for dual 4G SIM allowing VoLTE/ViLTE services on both connections.
