Mahindra, an automobile manufacturer based in India, recently opened the pre-booking of its newly launched XUV400. The company opened the pre-booking of its first-ever electric SUV on 26 January 2023.
Surprisingly, as per recent company reports, Mahindra has received over 15,000 bookings just within 13 days of opening its pre-booking in the country.
Launched at the starting price of INR 15,99,000 in India, the response of the customers towards the vehicle is very high.
How to book Tata Tiago EV in India?
Customers can easily book the new XUV400 either at Mahindra dealerships or via Mahindra’s official website. To book the car, the customers first need to pay a token amount of INR 21,000.

Battery and Performance
The Mahindra XUV400 EV gets 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh battery packs depending upon the variants. These batteries coupled with a single electric motor produce a maximum power of 150 PS alongside 310 Nm of maximum torque. Similarly, the vehicle can accelerate from 0-100 Km/h in a blistering 8.3 seconds.
As per MIDC, the XUV400 with a smaller battery provides a range of 375 Km and the bigger one claims a range of 456 Km on a single full charge. Likewise, the EV can speed up to 160 Km/h, which is very fast for any electric SUV in the current market.
Charger and Charging Time
The Mahindra XUV400 gets both DC and AC charging sockets. A 50 kW DC fast charger can charge the EV from 0 to 80% in just fifty minutes. While a 7.2 kW charger takes about 6 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge the battery. More on, another 3.3kW charger option is available for the EC variant only, which recharges the SUV from 0-100 % in 13 hours.
Features
The Mahindra XUV400 comes loaded with features such as an electric sunroof, a 7-inch touchscreen with connected car technology, diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, electric tail lamps, and best-in-class cabin space. The EV gets six airbags, cornering brake control, electronic stability control, and a rear parking camera for safety.

Price and Delivery
Mahindra XUV400 is launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 15,99,000 for the EC variant with a 3.3 KW charger. Similarly, the EC and EL trim with 7.2 kW charger will come at the price tag of Rs. 16,49,000 and Rs. 18,99,000 respectively.
As for the deliveries, the firm plans to deliver the first 20,000 units of the XUV400 this year, with shipping of the EL variant starting in March 2023 and the EC variant starting during the upcoming Diwali festive.
