And the wait is finally over for EV fans as Hyundai finally uncovers the first look of its much anticipated electric car- the Hyundai Ioniq 6.

After the massive success of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 was a priority project for the South Korean maker. Well, the electric car has finally made it after following tons of rumors.

Although the first look at the electric car is here, the official release date of the car is likely to be in late 2023 or early 2024.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq Motor, Battery, and Range

First, the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 is speculated to share the same platform as its sibling- Ioniq 5. This implies that the new Hyundai flagship will also boast single motor with RWD system for standard/base variant while the premium model (high trim) will get a dual-motor setup with an all-wheel-drive system.

The power output of these models is likely to be around 168 to 320 bhp. This was is also built under Hyundai Motor’s popular Electruc Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Coming on to the battery setup in Ioniq 6, the EV is likely to borrow its battery from the older IONIQ 5 as well. However, Hyundai might also add a little more juice to the unit in order to increase the range. The range of the vehicle is expected to stay around 304 miles in the top battery variant.

As the car is more advanced than its previous iteration, the charging capabilities in the machine might also warm up the game.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Design

The design of the new 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is inherited from the Prophecy concept vehicle. The vehicle looks more like a modern retro Porsche car. Hyundai offers all the thanks for the car’s design to ‘streamlined cars of the 1930s’ as the Korean automaker was highly inspired by them while designing this.

The front look of the car looks very similar to the Tesla Model 3 and the Porsche Taycan while EV fans have reviewed the rear look of the car to be inspired by the Porsche 911.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Interior

With lounge-like comfort, Hyundai has made the car’s interior feel very spacious. Features such as a dual-color ambient lighting system, choose from a spectrum of 64 colors and 6 dual colors are also available.
