Hyundai Creta's Record-Breaking Sales in October 2024: A Mid-Size SUV Champion in India

Hyundai's popular mid-size SUV, the Creta, has set a new benchmark in the Indian market’s monthly sales performance, delivering 17,497 units in October 2024. This achievement surpasses its previous record of 17,350 units set in July of the same year, following the launch of its facelift version in January 2024.

Sales Performance

In a significant demonstration of market strength, Hyundai Motor India has achieved remarkable sales performance in October 2024, marking one of its most successful months since beginning operations. The automotive giant registered total deliveries of 70,078 vehicles, marking it as their third-highest monthly sales achievement to date.

Breaking down the numbers, the domestic market remained robust with deliveries of 55,568 units, indicating a modest growth of 0.8% compared to the previous year's October figures. The company's international presence strengthened considerably, with overseas shipments reaching 14,510 units, demonstrating an impressive 8.6% growth over October 2023's export figures.

A standout feature of October's performance was the unprecedented success in the SUV segment, which reached a new pinnacle with 37,902 deliveries. The Hyundai Creta emerged as the flagship performer, contributing substantially with 17,497 units. Another notable achievement was recorded in the alternative fuel segment, where CNG vehicle sales hit a record 8,261 units, constituting nearly 15% of domestic market performance.

The company's cumulative performance for 2024 (January through October) shows sustained growth, with aggregate sales reaching approximately 648,000 units, representing a 6% increase year-over-year. While domestic market sales saw steady growth of 1.1% reaching 515,000 units, the export segment demonstrated exceptional vigor with a 26.6% surge, accumulating around 133,000 units.

These figures underscore Hyundai's strengthening position in both domestic and international markets, particularly highlighting the growing consumer preference for SUVs and alternative fuel vehicles in the Indian automotive sector.

Pricing and Variants

The Hyundai Creta lineup includes a comprehensive range of 52 variants, with pricing strategically positioned across different segments. The entry-level E variant begins at INR 11.00 lakh, while the range-topping SX (O) Knight Diesel AT DT commands INR 20.30 lakh. More detailed price for different variants is listed below:
