Dell's iconic gaming design features are constructed of CNC-machined aluminum, magnesium alloy, and stainless steel. In the same way, Dell developed a new laptop Dell Alienware x14(2022).

Dell introduced the laptop at CES 2022 in order to meet the growing demand for ultra-portable gaming computers. In this article, we will go over the most recent Dell Alienware x14 Gaming (2022) pricing in Nepal, as well as the specs, features, and availability.

In terms of design, the Alienware x14 maintains the company's Legendary design language. This variant of the legendary game design, known as “Legend 2.0”, incorporates hexagonal holes and a dark black finish on the interior. 

The chassis is constructed from CNC-machined aluminum, magnesium alloy, and stainless steel. Furthermore, the lid, bottom, and rear thermal shelf of the laptop have been adonized.

With a 14.0-inch ComfortView Plus screen and an FHD+ screen resolution, dual-torque element hinges are used. Similarly, it has a 144Hz refresh rate with a 7ms response time and is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and Advanced Optimus.

Performances

The laptop is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel H-series gaming CPU. Core two  Dell specifically offers the laptop in two Core i7-12700H and Core i7-12900H CPU variations. It is built on the new hybrid architecture and has 14 cores, each with six performance and eight efficiency cores. Also supports Intel's Hyper-Threading technology, bringing the total thread count to 20.

The 3050 Ti base model packs come with a variety of options. If you want more performance, you can go with the RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3060. In Nepal, the CPU i7-12700H model is offered for great performance.

Cooling system

In order to keep the temperature of the laptop in the acceptable limit range and to prevent overheating during a long run of gaming, it has a special cooling system.

Dell Alienware x14 (2022) uses Cryo cooling technology to regulate the laptop's internal temperature during extended gaming sessions. 

Since the other models do not include a liquid-phase CPU vapor chamber or gallium-silicone thermal material, the RTX 3060 model has an advantage over them.

Memory

Up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 2TB of NVMe M.2 SSD can be added to the Dell Alienware x14 (2022). On the RTX 3050 and 3050 TI variants, it offers LPDDR5-4800MHz, while the RTX 3060 offers 5200MHz.

Unfortunately, it is regrettable because the RAM is permanently soldered to the motherboard which means it cannot be upgraded.

Battery and Connectivity

Despite being portable, the device is powered by an 80Wh Lithium-ion battery. It has 3x USB-C, 1x USB-A, 1x HDMI, 1x combination audio jack, and a Micro-SD card slot for communication.

However, mobility was always the first consideration, hence there was no ethernet connector for a gaming laptop. Finally, it features Type-C input 130W charging.

In Nepal, the price of the Dell Alienware x14 Gaming (2022) with Intel i7-12700H, RTX 3060, 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB SSD is Rs. 235,000. You can buy it on Hukut and at any retailer that has been approved by Dell.

Conclusion

Dell employed its renowned design language, "Legend 2.0," to create a gaming laptop with stylish and aesthetically pleasing features. Despite having two setup options, the one that is offered in Nepal will provide the best performance settings.

Unfortunately, the cool technology known as "Cryo cooling technology" cannot be used to upgrade including the RAM which helps control the laptop's internal temperature when playing games for extended periods of time

The lack of an ethernet connector for a gaming laptop is due to the good battery but the main objective was always portability.
