In the Budget Speech of the fiscal year 2078 - 2079, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel provided the following information regarding the technological sector of the country.&nbsp;

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) to be implemented from Shrawan 1st.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Government to provide free internet to all the Government schools. According to Poudel, 60% of the Government Schools will be facilitated with Broadband Internet.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Payments made via Debit, Credit card, and QR code will result in an instant return of 10% of the total VAT. Previously, it took a minimum of 7 days to get the return.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Students over 16 years old can get a loan of up to Rs.80,000 at 1% interest to buy a laptop. Students should pay the loan within two years. (conditions apply)</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Order and purchase of food products from government e-commerce companies like Salt Trading will result in a 20% discount to the buyers.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Decrease in the price of electronics home appliances.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">GPS tracking to be used for information and security of tourists.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Implementation of QR code in Visa.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Online ticketing system for public transport.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Nepal Television to introduce an International channel called NTV World.&nbsp;</li>
