Introduction
Apple iPhones are one of the most popular smartphones in the world, with more than 1.2 billion iPhone users worldwide, as of 2022. With that many iPhones circulating in the market, it's obvious that many are old and need repairs. So, if your iPhone has a degraded battery, this may be the best time to get a battery replacement, as Apple will soon be increasing the battery replacement cost for iPhones.

From March 1, 2023, Apple will increase its iPhone battery replacement cost by $20 for out-of-warranty phones. With the increment, the battery cost of iPhones will reach $89 for iPhone X through iPhone 13 series, while iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier models will reach $69. In the recent announcement, Apple does not mention any changes in the battery replacement cost of the iPhone 14 series, which is already high at $99.
It's unclear whether charges for self-repair will rise concurrently. However, the cost of doing it through Apple is currently equivalent to the part pricing on the self-service site, so we expect a jump in the price of self-repair soon. Adding on, Apple has no explanation for the increase in the iPhone batteries price.
So, until the end of February, you can replace your iPhone batteries at the current price of $69 for iPhone X through iPhone 13 series and $49 for iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier models.
The full list of iPhone battery replacement costs is in the table below:
