Samsung Galaxy J8 Launched with Infinity Display and Dual Cameras

Samsung today launched the Galaxy J8 with Infinity display and Dual Cameras. The new phone has Samsung’s signature Infinity Design. The new design gives users nearly 15% more display area without increasing the overall size of the device. This can be attributed to extremely thin bezels and by swapping the physical home button with software powered in-display home button.

The fingerprint sensor also moves to the back of the Galaxy J8 for added convenience. These changes in the display hardware deliver an 18.5:9 aspect ratio that provides an end to end viewing experience and more browsing space.

Specification of the Samsung Galaxy J8

  • 6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Display
  • Infinite Display with Minimal Bezels
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 64GB Internal Storage
  • Dual Rear Camera setup (16MP f/1.7+ 5MP f/1.9)
  • Front 16MP f/1.9 Camera
  • Full HD Video Recording (oh, the irony)
  • Micro-USB Port
  • 3500mAh

As you would expect, the phone uses the company’s Super AMOLED display technology that produces deeper contrasts and delivers the most vivid viewing experience.

The Galaxy J8 is targeted towards the youths. The phone also gets dual rear cameras that let users capture excellent bokeh images. With Live Focus, a flagship feature, you can take stunning portraits with background blur. The primary rear camera has 16MP and f/1.7 aperture, while the secondary rear camera has 5MP and f/1.9 aperture. The phone can also shoot 1080p Full HD Videos.

Galaxy J8 features a polycarbonate unibody. The J8 has a 6” HD+ display. What’s new this time around is an adjustable selfie flash, allowing consumers to snap stylish selfies, from day to night. Galaxy J8 sports a 16MP front camera which works exceptionally well with the new flagship features.

Unfortunately though, what is packed under the hood isn’t all that impressive. The company has decided to go with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with the Galaxy J8 which really isn’t the CPU we expect for a phone that is going to be priced in the neighbourhood of Rs.30,000. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage.

The expected price of the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 is Rs.30,000. We will let you know when we get more details about this phone launch in Nepal.
