After the launch of the new Carens MPV and the electric Kia EV6, Kia is on the hook to unveil the facelift version of Seltos this year. The new Kia Seltos 2023 was also spied recently testing in Indian terrains.
The successful career of the brand’s offering Seltos launched back in 2019 opened the pathway for the new iteration of its successor.
2023 KIA Seltos Review (What’s new?)
Compared to the 2022 model of the SUV, the 2023 Seltos has received minimal changes while the price bump remains the major factor.
The company has worked on the SUV’s noise reduction and added a blind-spot monitor feature with rear cross-traffic alert in particular trims of new Seltos (S trims- both all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive system). Other safety standards such as pedestrian detection brakings, automatic forward emergency braking, automatic high beams, etc. also fit the machine.
Power Performance
Speaking of the power options, the Kia Seltos 2023 continues to borrow its predecessor’s engine unit. Like before, the SUV is powered by a base engine of a 2.0L 4-cylinder that delivers 146bhp alongside 178Nm of peak torque. This engine unit is mated to a 6-speed variable automatic transmission.
Moreover, the other 1.6L four-cylinder turbocharged unit churns out 175bhp peak power with 265Nm of torque. This engine unit is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The 2023 Kia Seltos’ top trims’ i.e. Nightfall Edition and SX borrows their power from the latter engine, i.e. 1.6L while the former unit powers the remaining.
All-wheel-drive mode is standard across Seltos’ all trims while the S trim offers both FWD and AWD as well.
2023 Kia Seltos Price and Launch Date
The new 2023 Kia Seltos sales have already started in the US market. The SUV is launched in six different trims: LX, S FWD, S AWD, EX, and Nightfall Edition and SX. Coming on to the pricing of the Kia Seltos 2023, it is as follows,
There are two touchscreen options- 8-inch and 10.25-inch available depending on trims.
The S, LX, and EX riders on 17-inch alloy wheels while the Nightfall Edition and SX adopt 18-inch wheels. The Nightfall Edition also gets a special matte-black finish wheel.
In addition, the top variant- trim SX arrives with some additional premium features such as a Bose 8-speaker sound system, leather-wrapped steering wheels, highway driving assist, wireless charging system and more.

Why has 2023 KIA Seltos Remained a Value Packed Bargain?
Adjusting some few flaws, 2023 launched Kia Seltos facelift has become an absolute bargain. The addition of features like rear blind spot collision, rear cross-traffic alert in lower trims, noise reduction, and other updates have remained a positive point for the new Seltos.
Moreover, the carmaker’s option for AWD and FWD in the S variant also keeps the coin on its side.
Coming on to the absolute bargain, that is its price which has remained best for S trim. The price has increased by $100 here while the remaining Kia flavors has acquired a hike of $250-$260.
