This classic sedan by the Japanese automaker has remained the best-selling in the international market for more than a decade and finally, it is turning into a crossover.

Design
Comparing the Corolla Cross with the sedan version, the SUV gets minimal sharper folds and creases. It continues to inherit the popular crossover design with a two-box design, high roofline, and compact size.
Powertrain and Transmission
The new Corolla Crossover is a built-in TNGA-C platform, also used in the Corolla sedan. Powering the Corolla Cross is the same 2.0L M20A-FKS 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit adopting max power output of 169bhp alongside a peak torque of 203Nm.

The crossover will be available in both All-Wheel Drive and Front Wheel Drive options. Speaking on the fuel economy in the machine, it arrives with 13km/l mileage in FWD models while the AWD models provide a mileage of 12km/l.
Coming on to the transmission, like its sibling- Corolla sedan, this one also gets a 6-speed AMT transmission unit only. Well, it seems Toyota has directly placed the engine and gearbox unit from the sedan to crossover without any modifications.
