In recognition of the recently released TVS RONIN, TVS Motor Company won the esteemed "Motorcycle of the Year Award" at the prestigious Jagran HiTech Awards 2022 for its cutting-edge design, reasonably priced, and rich in features and performance.
The motorcycle has a unique design, a low cost, and a long list of features. Therefore, let's look at its characteristics, features, and cost.
TVS Ronin
An Indian manufacturer just released the Ronin 225, a brand-new modern-retro motorcycle. According to TVS, you may use it for city commuting, interstate touring, and trail riding. In terms of appearance, Ronin exhibits scrambler and contemporary classic style aspects.
The overall distinctive look appears to draw inspiration from a variety of vintage cruisers. TVS is promoting it as a mysterious or previously undiscovered type of motorcycle. Nevertheless, it is a stylish bike that is both inviting and elegant.
A spherical LED headlight and a T-shaped LED DRL are located in the front part. TVS Ronin has a distinctive appearance and a strong attitude thanks to its huge fuel tank. With its short fenders, substantial engine guard, and multipurpose tires, this bike also gives off the impression of being suited for off-road use.
The hefty USD forks, dark leather seats, and upswept exhaust are additional design elements. In terms of measurements, the TVS Ronin is 2,040mm long, 805mm wide, and 1,170mm in height. The bike's curb weight is only 160 kg, which is quite light.
The ground clearance is 181mm, while the seat height is 795mm. The wheelbase is 1357mm long as well. The bulky-looking fuel tank has a capacity of up to 14 liters of gasoline. The claimed mileage of 30 Kmpl can also be achieved by this motorcycle.
Performance
TVS Ronin is powered by a brand-new 225cc, 4-valve, and single-cylinder engine. It produces 19.93 Nm of maximum torque at 3,750 RPM and 20.4 PS of maximum power at 7,750 RPM. The fuel-injected motor has BS6-compliant emission standards, too. Additionally, it has an oil cooling system to increase efficiency.
There is only one starting mechanism available: an electric starter. A five-speed manual gearbox is responsible for the transmission. Gear shifting is smoother and simpler with an assist & slipper clutch as well. Additionally, Ronin is capable of reaching a top speed of 120 km/h.
On a twin cradle split Synchro sturdy frame, the TVS Ronin 225 is constructed. 41mm USD forks up front and a mono-shock absorber with a 7-step preload adjustment handle the suspension tasks. There are 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes for braking. Additionally, single- and dual-channel ABS are options.
The bike has front and rear tires that are 110mm and 130mm wide, respectively, set on alloy 17-inch wheels. Due to their dual purpose, tubeless tires can be used both on and off-road.
