After launching the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition about a month ago, Xiaomi has now unveiled other smartphones of the Redmi K50 series. The pro model of the series, Redmi K50 Pro, comes with the flagship processor of MediaTek, Dimensity 9000 SoC. Other than that, the smartphone also brings specs like 120W fast charging, 120Hz AMOLED display, 108MP Samsung camera, and more. Design and Display

Redmi K50 Pro features a 6.67-inch Samsung flexible OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display further supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1200nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, and has a protection of Gorilla Glass Victus.
In terms of design, the device has a glass back available in four different color options. It measures 8.48mm thick, weighs 201 grams, and features an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor built on TSMC’s 4nm process. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 high-speed storage. On the battery side, you get a large 5000mAh battery. There’s also support for 120W fast charging, which is claimed to provide 100% charge in just 19 minutes.

The Redmi K50 Pro also features a 7-layers stainless steel vapor chamber cooling system with a total area of 3950mm². It covers 72% of the motherboard, bringing a large VC liquid-cooled heat dissipation area.

Camera and Others

For optics, the triple rear camera setup of the device consists of a 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is then followed by an 8MP ultrawide with 119° FoV and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront is a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, the K50 Pro features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.

Redmi K50 Pro Price and Availability

Currently, Redmi K50 Pro is only available in China at a starting price of CNY 2,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, while the top variant of 12/512GB goes up to CNY 3,999. If the smartphone launches in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.60,000.
