Nepal's auto calendar barely gets a chance to catch its breath. The NAIMA expo has only just wrapped, and already the next big one is rolling in, and this time, it comes with a milestone worth celebrating.
The NADA Auto Show is turning 50. Half a century of representing Nepal's automotive industry, and to mark it, the association is going all out with what it's calling the Golden Jubilee Edition. Its 18th auto show promises six full days of new vehicles, fresh technology, business and mobility experiences, all under one roof at Bhrikutimandap. Anticipation is already building around the new models set to debut, including a handful of hotly awaited SUVs we've covered in our preview of the three new SUVs Nepali buyers are waiting for. If ever there was a year to expect something special from NADA, this is it.
When and Where
The NADA Auto Show 2026 runs from August 25 to 30 at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Venue in Kathmandu. It's organised by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, with HP Lubricants on board as Title Sponsor. Six days, one central venue, and the whole of Nepal's auto industry gathered in one place.
Bigger Than Ever Before
NADA isn't treating its 50th quietly. The organisers expect around 200,000 visitors across the six days, and the scale of the setup backs up that ambition. The show spreads across roughly 300,000 square feet and packs in more than 200 large and small stalls.
The brand lineup is genuinely comprehensive: 23 passenger vehicle brands, 17 light commercial vehicle brands and 13 two-wheeler brands, alongside 10 financial and insurance service providers. On top of that, around 70 exhibitors will showcase the wider ecosystem, everything from parts and accessories to tires, lubricants and garage equipment. In short, whatever corner of the auto world you care about, it'll be represented here.

The Standout Additions
A few features set this year's show apart. The most significant is the new Made in Nepal / Made for Nepal Pavilion, dedicated to products assembled or manufactured within Nepal. It'll feature locally assembled vehicles alongside home-grown lubricants, batteries, helmets and other automotive products. In a market long dominated by imports, that's a meaningful spotlight on local industry, and a sign of where NADA wants the sector to head.
Then there's the futuristic flourish. Visitors will get to experience the G1 Humanoid Robot and the Go2 Quadruped Robot, dragging robotics and next-generation mobility right onto the show floor. It's the kind of attention-grabbing spectacle that made last year's flying car such a talking point, and a clear statement that this show is about more than just cars.
What to Expect on the Floor
Vehicle launches will, as always, be the main draw. Manufacturers are expected to roll out new models and variants throughout the event, giving consumers a rare chance to see everything entering or expanding in the Nepali market in a single location. With EV adoption accelerating fast, expect electric vehicles to dominate much of the conversation, much as they did at the recent NAIMA show, where sharp-priced launches like the Chery Q at Rs 30.99 lakh drew big crowds.
Beyond the metal, NADA is hosting a symposium on smart mobility, sustainable development and connectivity, tackling the big shifts reshaping the industry, from electrification to digital and connected mobility. To keep things easy to navigate, the venue is split into dedicated zones for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, financial institutions, auto components and garage equipment.
Tickets and Visitor Facilities
Planning to go? Tickets are available through Khalti by IME, the event's ticketing partner, and there's a tempting incentive: advance booking through the Khalti app comes with a 50 percent cashback offer for a limited period. Booking early clearly pays off.
NADA has also lined up a solid set of visitor arrangements. There's a dedicated media desk for journalists and a Traffic Information Desk running in coordination with the Metropolitan Traffic Police. Extra parking will be available at the Nepal Police Club's Blue Pavilion underground area and the National Trading Corporation premises in Singha Durbar. The venue also offers cafeteria facilities, emergency medical support, CCTV surveillance, fire-control arrangements and wheelchair accessibility, with security and emergency services deployed throughout.
Conclusion
This is shaping up to be one of the most significant NADA shows in years, and the timing couldn't be sharper. Nepal's auto industry sits at a genuine turning point, with EV adoption climbing, new technologies flooding in, and local assembly and manufacturing finally getting real attention. The Golden Jubilee Edition captures all of it in one place.
With 50 years of history behind it, more than 200 stalls, over 50 vehicle brands, fresh launches and a strong focus on future mobility, NADA Auto Show 2026 is set to turn Bhrikutimandap into the beating heart of Nepal's automotive industry for six days. The only question left is which new launches will steal the show.
