The festive discount war in Nepal's car market has another entrant, and MG has come in with one of the larger numbers so far.
Paramount Motors, the authorised MG distributor in Nepal, has opened its campaign under the slogan Drive More, Celebrate More. Buyers can save up to Rs 300,000 on selected models, and the offer runs until Chhath.
What the package includes
The savings are the headline, but the supporting benefits are where the practical value sits.
Every purchase under the scheme comes with complimentary Auto Plus insurance and free road tax. Neither is glamorous, and both are costs buyers routinely forget to budget for until the paperwork arrives in the first weeks of ownership.
Paramount has also opened up Easy Finance and Easy Exchange facilities, so buyers can trade an existing vehicle directly against a new MG rather than arranging a private sale first. During a festive window this short, that removes one of the more common reasons a purchase falls through.
Which models qualify
The eligible list covers most of MG's current lineup in Nepal, and it leans heavily electric.
The MG4 is included, along with the MGS5 EV and MGS6 EV, both electric SUVs. The MG U9 EV, an electric pickup, is also on the list, as is the MG IM6.
For buyers not ready to go fully electric, the MG HS Hybrid is covered in both HEV and PHEV versions.
