Google has launched the Pixel Buds Pro, the company’s new TWS earbuds. It comes as the first Pixel Buds to feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and is claimed to offer up to 31 hours of listening time. Pixel Buds Pro Overview

Design 

Pixel Buds Pro features an in-ear design with silicone ear tips. The ear tips come with a moldable design that conforms to the shape of the user's ear. There’s also a sensor on the buds that actively measure the pressure in the ear canal for a comfortable fit. 

Google has offered the Buds Pro in Charcoal, Fog, Lemongrass, and Coral color options. Also, the earbuds are IPX4 rated, while the charging case is IPX2 rated for sweat and water resistance.

Features 

 

Pixel Buds Pro comes with a custom-designed 11mm dynamic speaker driver. It is the first Pixel buds to feature ANC that uses Silent Seal to block outside noise. Similarly, there's a Transparency mode to let in ambient noises around its user. 

Other features on the TWS include Capacitive touch sensors for music, calls, and Assistant controls, a Single IR proximity sensor for in-ear detection to play and pause automatically, and a Motion-detecting accelerometer. The charging case features a Hall Effect sensor for case close detection.

For crystal clear voice, even in loud environments, the buds have beamforming mics, a voice accelerometer, and wind-blocking mesh covers.

Battery and Others 

 

The company claims that the earbuds can provide up to 7 hours of battery life on a single charge with ANC. The number goes up to 20 hours if paired with the charging case. The case charges via a USB-C port and also supports Qi wireless charging. 

Pixel Buds Pro uses Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. As per the company, it pairs with any Bluetooth 4.0+ device, including Android, iOS, tablets, and laptops.
