Well, this year lots of 5G smartphones are waiting on the line-up for the launch. And it looks like these amazing devices will surely dominate the year 2019. There are lots of offerings coming out from Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi and many other brands.
What is 5G actually?
5G is the successor to 4G (or LTE) on which most of the phones run now. Once, the new smartphones are capable to support the 5G network then users can smoothly be able to enjoy faster upload and download speeds and much more.

1. Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
Well, Samsung may be at the top of the list when talking of the upcoming 5G phones. The company is soon launching its 5G smartphone which actually the 5G supportive variant of its flagship, Samsung Galaxy S10 while the new s10 5G has some slighter upgrades in camera and display size.
The phone flaunts a 6.7-inch QHD AMOLED screen while it comes with 8GB of RAM and has a 256GB of internal storage. It comes with the same 4,500mAh battery as of the typical s10 model. Well, the release date has not been unveiled but it is sure that the new Galaxy S10 5G will come with a premium price tag compared to the standard Samsung Galaxy S10.
2. Huawei Mate X
Huawei is also introducing 5G in its new smartphone this year. The new Huawei Mate X will be the Huawei’s first 5G smartphone while it was also unveiled at MWC 2019. Actually, the new Mate X is a foldable phone by Huawei, so enjoying the faster upload and download speeds is surely going to be a fun job.
Speaking of the features, the phone gets a Kirin 980 processor which will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and have a 512GB of internal storage. It will have a 4500mAh battery and may cost around $2500 in the release.
3. Oppo RENO 5G
Well, another Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is also releasing its first 5G smartphone this year while it's named as Oppo Reno 5G. Looks like lots of Chinese brands are on the line-up for the 5G smartphone race.
The new Reno 5G comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display and embedded fingerprint scanner. Powering the phone will be Snapdragon 855 processor which will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Inside the case will be powered a 4065mAh battery which will support Fast Charging.
The phone is expected to launch at the end of June 2019 while will cost around 50,000 Indian Rupees.
4. LG V50 THINQ
Apparently, most of you may already have heard about this new 5G device as it was also one of the attractions of CES 2019. The new LG V50 THINQ is also a foldable phone by LG which features a Dual Screen accessory while you can attach a second display on it as your preference.
The phone comes with Snapdragon 855 processor and flaunts a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED display. It will also get a triple-lens camera set up at the back while there are some other decent specs of the phones which may soon be unveiled.
The phone will cost around $1055 and may release in the month of June.
5. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
Surprisingly, another 5G offering is also by a Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi. This implies that the Chinese Brands are really leading over the other European and American brands when it comes to technological innovation. Xiaomi is releasing its first 5G smartphone, the Mi Mix 3 which is confirmed to be launched in October. The Mi Mix 3 is actually the predecessor of the Mi Mix 2s.
The new Mi Mix 3 will flaunt a 6.39-inch magnetically sliding OLED display embedded in bezel-less design at 93.4% screen to body ratio. Speaking on the hardware side, the will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor which will be coupled with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage. The device will get a dual rear camera setup (24MP+2MP).
Speaking of the price, this new 5G phone will cost around $661 which is comparatively an affordable range than the other smartphones.
