After the pinch of hints from Yamaha of soon unveiling its first dual-channel ABS scooter, the Yamaha NMAX 155 in Nepal, now it looks like the firm is finally unveiling its new scooter in Nepal. There were also some rumors going on at NADA Auto Show 2019 of Yamaha launching its new scooter along with the entry of 2020.
And recently we have heard a piece of good news that MAW Enterprises, the sole distributor for Yamaha automobiles in Nepal has confirmed on launching it soon in Nepal. However, the firm has not unwrapped any details regarding the launch date and pricing of the vehicle. Well, we have to wait for that.
So, what’s quirky about the new Yamaha NMAX 155? Let’s find out.
First on, the NMax 155 is expected to be more powerful than the current Aprilia SR 150. The Yamaha NMax is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine which delivers a power of 14.8PS at 8000rpm along with a peak torque of 14.4Nm at 6000rpm. Although, from the recent reports, we have heard that the scooter will be getting a new update in the 2020 model which will include VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology which will further increase the scooter’s engine performance. The updated engine is expected to generate a power of 15.36PS at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm.

Moreover, the scooter comes with a 6.6L fuel tank. Similarly, highlighting the safety features, Yamaha has integrated a dual-disc braking system on both its 13-inch wheels. And the next best part of the machine is, yeah guessed that right! It’s the dual-channel ABS feature which takes the scooter to its optimum safety. And Yamaha NMax 155 will be the first scooter in Nepal to hold this amazing feature.

Seemingly, there are also some other modern upgraded features included in the two-wheeler. The NMax 155 comes with Triple LED Headlight, Full LCD Digital Instrument Cluster, Maxi-Scooter Compartment, Side Stand Engine Cut Off Switch, external fuel cap, telescopic forks, premium leather seats, and 13-inch alloy wheels.
And what’s with the connectivity options? This question might arouse in your minds. Well, don’t worry as the Yamaha NMax comes equipped with a connected Yamaha tech (Yamaha Motorcycle Connect) which can be connected with your smartphone via Bluetooth while it helps the rider to receive calls, read messages and enjoy other general features.
Glancing at the features of the scooter, it looks like Yamaha NMax 155 will surely be holding a premium price tag. Let’s wait until Yamaha officially unwraps the price tag of its premium scooter.
