Pulsar NS 200 ABS vs Apache RTR 200 4V ABS | Which is the best?

The Fi+ABS version of Bajaj’s most popular naked bike in Nepal, the Pulsar NS 200 has begun its sales in Nepal.

The new fi-version NS 200 has been manufactured in Nepal by HH Bajaj, the sole distributor for Bajaj vehicles in Nepal. The Pulsar NS 200 is a tough competitor to the ongoing popular model by TVS, i.e. the Apache RTR 200 4V.

The ABS version of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is also a best-selling model in the country under the 200cc segment. Both of these bikes, the NS 200 and RTR 200 4V feature ABS, while coming with a Fi-mounted engine.

Well, here we compared the inline features of both these bikes as these two are the most popular models in the Nepali market. Let’s have a quick look at it.

Engine

Bajaj has mounted an international standard fuel-injected SOHC 4-valve liquid-cooled triple spark engine in the new Pulsar NS 200. The bike’s engine delivers a power of 23.17bhp at 1750rpm while peak torque of 18.3Nm. It has been mated with a 6-speed gearbox transmission.

Likewise, the single-cylinder 4-valve oil-cooled engine integrated into the Apache RTR 200 4V delivers a power of 20.7bhp at 8500rpm while peak torque of 18.1Nm at 7000rpm. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox mated into it.

Verdict

Well. we don't have a clear thought on which of these two bikes is absolutely the best. But, personally, in my opinion, the Pulsar NS 200 would rest at the peak as the bike inherits some great extra features than the RTR 200 4V. However, there is not much of a spec difference on both these bikes which is also the reason why both of them have remained competitive in the Nepali Auto Market.
