KTM Duke 125 discontinued in Nepal, why is it so?

KTM has discontinued the sales of its popular model, the Duke 125 in the Nepali market. The bike first made its debut in the Nepali market 18 months ago.

Hansraj Hulaschand and Company, the sole distributor for KTM motorcycles in Nepal had been selling the KTM Duke 125 at Rs. 4,49,900/- According to the reports, this model has been discontinued in Nepal as most of the Nepali bike consumers, Duke fans to be exact are not much interested in the 125cc segment.

Therefore, the firm has now planned to point their focus more on the 200cc and 250cc segment, which is the most wanted ones.

However, the KTM Duke 125 was the most powerful motorcycle in the 125cc segment in Nepal. Powered by a 124.7cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, the Duke 125 delivers a power of 14.5bhp at 9250rpm alongside a peak torque of 12Nm at 8000rpm. Interestingly, the motorcycle also comes with a 6-speed gearbox transmission.
